Ushna is an external clinical and research student at the Parent-Child Research Clinic where she is supervised by A/Prof. Eva Kimonis. She is a second year MSc student of forensic psychology at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She was awarded her bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada.

Ushna’s professional background includes working with criminally marginalized groups in Vancouver, Canada. Over her academic career, she has worked as a research assistant on program evaluations and risk assessment, and she is currently collaborating with her colleagues on a systematic review of the intersection of adverse childhood experiences and callous-unemotional traits in youth.

Her research interests include forensic and abnormal psychology; particularly the prevention, assessment, treatment and therapies of at-risk populations. Ushna’s thesis work is ongoing at the PCRC clinic.
