Now Available for Preorder: Practical Guide for Supporting Youth With Conduct Disorders
I’m really excited to share some big news — my new book co-authored with Paul Frick, A Clinical Guide to Working With Youth With Conduct Disorders and Limited Prosocial Emotions, is now available for preorder!
This book has been a true labor of love. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families where empathy, guilt, and other moral emotions don’t always develop in typical ways. These are some of the most challenging clinical presentations we face, and they often leave practitioners asking: How do I assess this? What treatments actually work? How do we support parents, teachers, and communities while also helping the young person thrive?
In this book, We’ve tried to bring together the latest science with real-world clinical strategies. It’s designed as a practical guide, full of frameworks, case examples, assessment approaches, and intervention strategies for clinicians, researchers, students, and anyone working in child and adolescent mental health.
If you’ve ever worked with a young person whose behavior is hard to understand, whose emotions feel “missing” or muted, or who struggles to connect with others in meaningful ways, I hope this book offers some clarity and tools you can put into practice.
