Alison Lam

Clinical Psychologist

Ali is a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She completed her Masters thesis on mother-adolescent disclosure and communication and is particularly interested in the parent-child relationship.

Ali completed a Bachelor of Commerce/Science and Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons) with First Class Honours at the University of New South Wales. Ali was awarded the Joseph P Forgas Honours Prize for the Best Performance in an Honours Empirical Thesis in an area of Social Psychology. Ali’s Honours research examined individuals’ beliefs about the cause of homosexuality as predictors of attitudes toward lesbians and gay males.

Ali is a warm, empathic, and collaborative psychologist with a special interest in working with children presenting with disruptive behavioural and emotional concerns together with their families. Ali has clinical experience implementing evidence-based behavioural family interventions with young children with clinically significant disruptive behaviour at the University of Sydney Child Behaviour Research Clinic and the UTS Psychology Clinic. Ali’s goals are to help develop and nurture the parent-child relationship and to help families enjoy more time together.
